Curry puff is basically a small pie consisting of curry with vegetables or any meat in a baked pastry shell. The curry inside the puffs is quite thick to prevent it from oozing out of it.
Ingredients:
Preparing Time: 20 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Makes: 10-12
1 pack of Puff Pastry Sheets
1-/12 cups Mixed Vegetables (chopped and steamed)
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tsp Chaat Masala
1 tsp Coriander Powder
1 tsp Cumin Powder
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
A pinch of Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
Method:
- Preheat oven for 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Chop all the vegetables into small pieces, steam or boil it and set aside.
- Line silver foil on the tray.
- Cut the pastry sheets into rectangles and place them on the silver foil.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the ginger garlic paste.
- Fry for a minute and add turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, salt and mix well on low to medium flame. (make sure the spices don't burn)
- Add the boiled or steamed vegetables and sauté for a minute or two.
- Now stuff the vegetable curry in the lined pastry rectangles as shown in the pic.
- Brush the puffs with oil.
- Put the tray into the oven.
- Bake it for 15-20 minutes until color changes to golden brown.
- Once done serve hot with ketchup.
